Being able to walk down the street and not having to worry about your safety is important. If someone were to come and attack you, would you be able to protect yourself? Having basic self defense is an essential part of life, and this article will give you some tips to improve your defense.
1. The first part of basic defense is preventing an attack from happening. How you walk is the key factor for preventing an attack. When you walk, you need to take long strides and keep your head up. If you do not pay attention to your surroundings, you are asking for someone to attack you. Prevent an attack by paying attention to your surroundings.
2. Learning self defense will help you to protect yourself should the need arise. Taking classes like karate or jiu-jitsu can help you learn how to defend yourself. Karate will teach you how to hit and kick, while jiu-jitsu will teach you joint locks and grabs. Both are good ways to improve your self defense.
3. The final thing you can do to improve your self defense is to add self defense weapons. Tasers, pepper spray, and kubatons are all effective weapons that can be used if someone attacks you. Tasers tend to be the best, then pepper sprays, and finally kubatons.
Being able to defend yourself is an important aspect of life. Any of the three tips listed will give you basic self defense. It is important that you have at least some of these. Without them, you risk your safety.
